“The exhibition is part of Fotografiska’s collaboration with the global hygiene and health company Essity and is the first installment of three during a three-year period. To turn the development in a positive direction is fully possible but dependent on the cooperation between public organisation and industry, at local, national and international levels. Much is needed if we are to achieve to the goal of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in terms of good health and quality of life, gender equality, access to clean water and sanitation, among other things. Facts speak for themselves: For each US dollar invested in water and sanitation, 4.30 USD is generated in economic growth through increased productivity…” http://www.hygienematters.com
I was lucky to stumble upon this exhibition at the photography museum Fotografiska in Stockholm. It lead me to find excellent references to research on hygiene in Sweden, Europe and the rest of the world..
